After 20 days of gold sun, silver sand & crystal clear water in the Maldives, Tom Cruise and new wife Katie Holmes returned home from their honeymoon.
The new couple & their baby daughter Suri were spotted yesterday at Male International Airport in the Maldives as they prepared to fly home in Tom’s private Gulf stream jet.

Tom was dressed casually in jeans & Katie had on a great strapless top & white Victoria Beckham jeans. As for Suri, she was dressed in a cute & tiny white dress, with matching socks & shoes!
The couple spent their exotic Maldives honeymoon island hopping in Tom’s friend’s yacht, The Arctic P.

Tom Cruise is to release a record with new wife Katie Holmes, it has been claimed.

The actor - who tied the knot with the Batman Begins actress in Italy last Saturday (18.11.06) - has reportedly decided to release a rendition of You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling with Katie after serenading his new wife with the tune at their wedding reception.

A source told the Daily Star: “Tom’s got a great voice. And he loves that song ever since his Top Gun character Maverick sang it to woo his love interest Kelly McGillis. Katie proved how talented she is
musically when she performed in The Singing Detective remake.”

Tom’s vocal talents did not go unnoticed by several music producers who attended his wedding, and the couple have apparently been offered staggering
sums to sign an exclusive record deal.

The only hurdle in the way of their chart success, however, is said to be Tom’s obsession with Scientology.

The source added: “Music chiefs know it would be a massive hit so they don’t want to lose all the money to a bizarre religious following. And record labels are reluctant to be associated with the strange faith. However, Tom is adamant. He said the song is a symbol of their love and Scientology is a basis for their companionship.”

Hollywood newlywed Tom Cruise has bought a house in Sussex, according to a report.

The star has purchased a six bedroom £2.4 million mansion complete with indoor swimming pool, underground garage, sports pavilion, games room and greenhouse.

According to Us Weekly, the estate also boasts a high-tech security system and a staff cottage.

The site is said to be just miles from the Church of Scientology’s UK headquarters in East Grinstead.

Cruise and Katie Holmes tied-the-knot in a Scientology wedding in Italy earlier this month.

The couple are now honeymooning in the Maldives, where residents have said they want to meet the stars and show them their local traditions, such as dancing.

Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes began a honeymoon in the Maldives after the couple married in a 15th-century castle in Italy.

“Yes, they are here, I can confirm that,” chief government spokesman Mohamed Hussain Shareef told The Associated Press by telephone from the Maldives capital, Male.

“They have gone to one of the islands, but this is very, very secret,” he said.

Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, are on one of the Indian Ocean country’s 1,192 tiny coral islands after arriving by private jet, the local Haveeru newspaper said, citing witnesses.

Katie Holmes has turned down the opportunity to win an Oscar.

The former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actress was allegedly asked if she would like her name included in the list of possible Oscar nominations for her most recent film ‘Thank You for Smoking’ but said no.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Searchlight Pictures wanted to include Katie’s name as a possible Oscar nominee on the screener of ‘Thank You for Smoking’ sent to Academy members. But Katie’s people respectfully declined the offer.”

The film had already caused contention between Katie and her fiancé Tom Cruise because of the nude scenes she shot for the movie. The scenes were cut at the film’s premiere at the Sundance Festival, which Tom attended.
However, they were included in the version shown at last year’s Toronto Film Festival.

In the film, Katie plays an investigative reporter who ends up in bed with tobacco lobbyist Aaron Eckhart.

Director Jason Reitman said: “It’s humorous humping! It’s Kate and Aaron gyrating back and forth.”

Katie, 27, is set to marry Tom on November 18 in Italy. The couple have a six-month-old daughter, Suri, together.

The ‘Batman Begins’ actress is said to be keen to return to work and has visited several film studios recently, accompanied by Tom, to look at scripts.

Tommy boy serenaded his new wife Katie with a rendition of “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” during their wedding reception.

The cutie patootie turned controversial actor dashed to the stage for an impromptu performance when he heard the DJ playing the Righteous Brothers’ classic hit.

Tom’s serenade re-enacted the scene from his movie “Top Gun” where his character Maverick attempted to woo actress Kelly McGillis by singing the song to her.

Guest Leah Remini told People magazine, “Katie was completely touched. She was laughing along, loving him and really enjoying it.”

The happy couple tied the knot on Saturday in front of more than 150 star-studded guests at the Odescalchi Castle, in Lake Bracciano, Italy.

Guests included Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony, Jada Pinkett Smith and her actor spouse Will, Jim Carrey and his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and Brooke Shields.

Katie wore an off-the-shoulder Armani wedding gown with an ivory silk train complete with Swarovski crystals, while Tom said “I do” in a navy blue tuxedo also designed by Giorgio Armani.

The ceremony was performed by a Scientology minister.
