In her first sit-down interview since her November wedding to Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes reports on married life – and, no surprise, the news is good.

“I have a husband and children that I adore. I have a career that I really love. When I sit back and reflect, it’s – wow!” Holmes, 28, says in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

“I am very grateful. Tom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world and has since the day I met him. I love being with him. I love calling him husband.”

For her photos in the magazine’s spring fashion issue, Holmes was styled by her close pal, guest fashion editor Victoria Beckham.

“Victoria has a strong sense of style – she knew the pieces she wanted Katie to wear,” Bazaar editor Glenda Bailey tells PEOPLE. “Katie’s style is very easy, laid-back.”

The same could be said of her pregnancy with her daughter Suri, now 9 months – she had no morning sickness and no cravings besides cupcakes. “I felt so proud to be having a baby and so excited,” she tells Bazaar. “And I felt closer to other women – to my sisters, to my mom. I felt empowered, like, ‘I’ve given birth. I did it! There’s nothing I can’t handle.’ ”

Motherhood, too, has been easy to handle. “I’ve really enjoyed this time that I have taken to be with Suri as well as the challenges of the first couple of months: feeding and pumping, learning to decipher what each cry means – is she hungry? Is she tired? Does she need a fresh diaper? – and figuring out how to really help her.”

Asked if she wants more kids, Holmes smiles and says: “Definitely.”

And, although she took time off to be a mom, she also wants to make more movies. Last week, Variety reported that she had dropped out of the sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins and was in talks to star in Mad Money opposite Queen Latifah.

“I have a whole new set of responsibilities,” she says. “My work is very important to me. My family is very important to me. When I go to work, it will be the right thing, worth my time and worth my time away from my family.”

A thoughtful Katie Holmes reflects on married life, being a new mom and her acting future in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The actress, who sat for a series of portraits styled by fashionable friend Victoria Beckham, says of being Mrs. Cruise, “Tom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world and has since the day I met him.”

Katie Holmes has dropped out of the sequel to “Batman Begins” and is currently in talks to be cast in “Mad Money,” with co-star Queen Latifah instead. The English-based film is written by Glenn Gers and will be directed by “Thelma and Louise” writer Callie Khouri.

Variety reports this will be Holmes’ first movie since maternity leave.

Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine are set to reprise their roles in the hit comic movie, but Holmes’ representative, Julie Polkes, revealed the actress dropped out of “Dark Knight,” the batman sequel, because of “scheduling conflicts.”

She explained, “We never got to the negotiating stage” for the film. Katie was offered [”Dark Knight”] but was unable to accept the role because of scheduling conflicts. She was in the process of negotiating for another project.”

“Mad Money” is based on the British film, “Hot Money.” It follows three female employees of the Federal Reserve who scheme together to steal a set amount of cash before it is destroyed.

The third female role has yet to be cast. Filming is expected to begin in a couple of months in Louisiana.

Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes will be a part of “Dark Knight,” the sequel to 2005’s “Batman Begins,” but it’s still up in the air on who will play those roles.

Yes, we’re talking about Rachel Dawes, the sweet innocent prosecutor previously played by Katie Holmes, wife of Tom Cruise. Latino Review, in providing an update to the pre-production of the new Batman film, said Holmes was being replaced, but wouldn’t give a reason for the casting change.
