Nicole Kidman has furiously denied wishing her ex-husband Tom Cruise well following the birth of his daughter with Katie Holmes.

The Australian actress was quoted yesterday saying “I hope mother and baby are doing well” after hearing news of Suri’s birth earlier in the week.

However, Kidman’s publicist Catherine Olin has vehemently denied her client ever passed on her good wishes to the happy couple.

She fumes, “I’ve been deluged with press queries on the back of this and I’m completely taken aback.

“Ms Kidman never issues statements about her personal life. I’m her publicist and I never released this statement.”

Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes have been given the green light to move into the legendary Dakota building in New York City, after passing the strict entry interviews.

The exclusive apartment building, which was the scene of former Beatles legend John Lennon’s murder in 1980, has a very strict acceptance process, as the tenancy board don’t let just anyone in.

Katie Holmes refused to pose for photographs without her husband Tom Cruise at the Vanity Fair post-Oscar party, despite his pleas.
The ‘Top Gun’ actor proudly showed-off his wife on the red carpet urging photographers to “take a shot of her”. However, the demure actress would not leave her husband’s side at the post-Oscar bash at Hollywood’s Morton’s restaurant on Sunday (25.02.07).

One onlooker claimed Tom dragged Katie up and down by the hand as he talked with photographs while she remained silent and waited for him to finish his conversations.
The eyewitness said: “She looks at him for direction.”Tom, 44, later pleaded again with 28-year-old Katie to pose solo and she finally gave in.

The couple mingled with a host of other stars at the glitzy bash including Madonna, Dame Helen Mirren, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, Diddy and Kirsten Dunst.

Katie recently stepped out on her own in a strapless champagne-coloured dress for the Giorgio Armani Prive fashion show in Beverly Hills. During the evening she gushed about being a mother to 10-month-old Suri and her supportive husband.
She said: “Suri is doing really, really well. She’s a beautiful little girl. I feel so honoured to be her mother, really.”

Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes is enjoying maternal bliss. Showing off her post-baby figure in a strapless champagne-colored Armani dress, Holmes revealed the joys of motherhood.

“I love it! Suri is doing really, really well. She’s a beautiful little girl, and I feel so honored to be her mom, really,” she was quoted by People’s magazine, as saying. Holmes left 10-month old Suri at home with her sister-in-law Saturday night to attend a Giorgio Armani Prive fashion show in Beverly Hills to celebrate the man who designed her wedding dress. Their favorite mother-daughter activity is “a lot of walking around.”
“She loves just being outside right now,” she said. Soon, however, Mrs. Tom Cruise will be heading back to work. “I’m going to start a film in about a month and a half called Mad Money with Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton. I play a young girl whose part of three women who rob the Federal Reserve.”

Holmes says returning to work “will be another challenge but I have a wonderful, supportive husband and family, and it’s another project that were going to handle together and that’s part of the fun.”

While husband Tom was busy filming the night of the Oscar-eve fashion show, Holmes rubbed elbows with most of the nominees - including Cruise’s ex, Penelope Cruz, who posed for a photo with Holmes.
