Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes are in talks about launching a children’s clothing line.

The pair, who have bonded over their love of fashion and motherhood, are planning to combine their skills and passions by designing their own range for children.

A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “They are both really excited about this new project. Katie recently sketched out some designs for a party dress for Suri’s first birthday and Victoria saw there was the potential there for the two of them to come up with some great designs.

“As they are both mothers who love fashion, it couldn’t have been more ideal for them.”

Victoria, 32 - who is mother to sons Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, six, and Cruz, two - already has her own jeans and designer sunglasses range.

When Tom Cruise lets his inner control freak get the best of him, there’s one person Katie Holmes, 28, knows she can count on for a shoulder to cry on: her British best friend Victoria Beckham.

“Katie has been crying over the phone,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “She’s frustrated. Tom is denying her every single thing.”

The insider adds: “Once, Katie and Victoria talked on the phone for four hours.”

And Beckham has seen how domineering Cruise can be firsthand. A source close to the 44-year-old actor tells Us that he is relentlessly trying to convince the ex-Spice Girl, 32, and her husband, soccer star David Beckham, 31 (who are moving to L.A. this year), to convert to his religion.

“Victoria is sick and tired of Tom being on her back about Scientology,” says the source. “Victoria is an old-fashioned British woman who believes in God. She finds it quite rude that Tom is bugging her so much. Not too long ago, Tom left 18 messages in one hour to get them to join the church.”

The source adds Victoria has put her foot down to Tom’s pressure. “When she says no, she means no.”

Cruise’s rep tells Us, “This is completely false. Tom does not and never has encouraged anyone to adopt Scientology.”

Suri Cruise has taken her first steps. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ 11-month-old daughter accompanied her parents to watch her brother and sister, Connor and Isabella, play basketball at the weekend and decided she wanted to get some exercise of her own.

A source is quoted by our friends at Popsugar with saying: “Katie put Suri down on the ground and she just took off.

“Katie was supporting her but she was raring to go. It was so cute.”

Suri was born on April 28 last year - the anniversary of Tom and Katie’s first public date together in Rome.

However, she was not seen in public until September which sparked numerous conspiracy theories about her birth.

Katie, 27, recently spoke of her love of motherhood.

She said: “I love it! Suri is doing really, really well. She’s a beautiful little girl. I feel so honored to be her mom, really.”

When asked about losing her post-baby weight, she explained it was all down to “a lot of walking”.

Tom and Katie were spotted shopping for clothes for a baby boy, which started rumours about a new pregnancy.

The couple was spotted in an exclusive children’s store in Hollywood, where they were buying clothes for a male child and all the things necessary for an infant.

Other than shopping, Tom and Katie also consulted the shop assistants on the new look for a room for a baby boy. They even asked the staff to work out the interior design for the new baby in the family by April 15 at the latest, report the foreign media.

The spouses already have the 11-month-old daughter Suri, who was born on April 18 last year.

The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Tom Cruise will be accompanying Katie Holmes on the set of “Mad Money” every day. The Millennium Films movie will begin production in April in Shreveport and also will star Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton.

Page Six’s Richard Johnson quotes an unnamed inside source as saying, “Tom has called producers and told them he will be on set every day. He wants to observe what’s going on and will probably help Katie out.”

“Mad Money” producer Jim Acheson told Page Six, “I don’t know if that’s the case, so I can’t confirm. We are happy to have both Katie and Tom on set.”

Katie Holmes and her real-life pal, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, may be taking their friendship to a new level - reality TV. Katie Holmes, whose hubby Cruise won’t let her act in a movie with romantic interests, may want to play a part in Beckham’s new reality show.

According to the rumor mill, Katie Holmes may want to play Victoria’s on-screen pal - similar to Lucy and Ethel in the classic show, ‘I Love Lucy’.

A pal of Holmes told Life & Style Magazine, “Katie thinks this is a great break for Posh, and she’d love to be her sidekick on the show.”

“She’s hoping to let the world see her as a happy wife and mother!”

Unfortunately for Katie, her hubby Tom Cruise has a different opinion. The mag quotes Cruise as saying: “Why would you want to be Ethel if Posh is Lucy?’”

Katie Holmes jokingly fired back, “You just don’t want to be Fred!”
